This page is to discuss how to achieve maximum compatibility between Rapid Evolution and Traktor.
Traktor is a software mixing tool created by Native Instruments. It is compatible with the digital mixing solution Finalscratch, and is very friendly to use with Rapid Evolution. It is recommended to search your music collection in Rapid Evolution and to drag and drop songs onto the decks in Traktor when mixing. You can position the windows as such:
Note: Traktor supports key locking which is a very useful feature in harmonic mixing. Key lock support should be enabled in Rapid Evolution.
Currently, it appears Traktor does not support ID3 v2.4 tags. In order for BPM and key information from Rapid Evolution to show up in Traktor, it is recommended to use the “JID3” tag library under options→song→tag writing. Keep in mind, you must tell Rapid Evolution to write the information to the tags before Traktor will be able to see it.
